I Overture
Draco Kalator is a story about Caius, a priest who lived some time toward the end of the Roman Empire.

II Kyrie Eleison - Oh Lord, have mercy on us.
Caius lives in the foothills of a majestic mountain range. Caius is heart broken because the people of his village have forgotten about God. He tries desperately to get them to turn back to worship the true living God but they refuse. Growing tired of his pleading the villagers decide to kill him.

III Inopinatum pace - Unexpected peace
Caius flees for his life to the mountains. As a storm approaches, Caius finds a cave and enters to seek shelter. Unfortunately, Caius finds he is not alone in the cave as it is the residence of a dragon. Caius and the dragon are both very surprised and deeply displeased with each other's presence. Caius is afraid the villagers will find and kill him but also afraid the dragon will kill him. Due to the storm he decides to take his chances with the dragon. He huddles in a corner of the cave and keeps a silent watchful eye on the dragon. The dragon does the same, never taking it's eyes off the new intruder. Caius feels somehow connected to this fierce dragon since they both, in a way, share the same predicament.

IV Ostende mihi faciem veritatis - Show me the truth
Caius wonders to himself what sin he has committed to cause him to be in such a terrible situation. Dragons have always been a symbol of evil and here he is, a man of God, hiding in a cave with a dragon. Caius prays to God to show him what His plan is. Despite his fear of the dragon, Caius finally can't help himself and falls asleep. When he awakes, the dragon is gone. He wonders if it has abandoned it's cave to find somewhere else to live. Soon the dragon returns. It has a deer in it's mouth that it begins savagely tearing to shreds. The dragon flips a chunk of flesh toward Caius and it lands at his feet. Caius wonders, was that on purpose or was it just due to the violent way the dragon was tearing at the deer to eat? He cautiously takes some of the raw meat and eats it, as it's been a long time since he's eaten and he is very hungry. After the dragon finishes, it lies down and appears to go to sleep. It does however, keep one watchful eye open, still suspiciously staring at Caius. After a long time of suspenseful staring and self reflection, Caius falls asleep. He has a prophetic dream about the dragon. God tells Caius that he was placed there with the dragon. It is part of God's sovereign plan.

V Opus miraculosum opus - We need a miracle
Meanwhile back at the village, the villagers have found out that a foreign army is invading their peaceful valley. The people are terrified! Surely they will be overrun and killed. They now wish Caius was there to save them since he is a man of God. They need a miracle. The villagers form a search party to find Caius and bring him back to the village to save them. When they finally make their way to the cave, Caius hears the villagers outside searching for him. He believes they are looking for him in order to kill him and prays to God for a miracle. The villagers finally spot the cave and enter to find Caius inside but.. also a dragon! The villagers are terrified of the dragon. They need a miracle! Caius then addresses the villagers. He prophecies that they should go home and that they will be fine. The Lord will save them.

VI Proelio - The battle
Back at the village, the enemy army approaches. But when they are within striking distance, the dragon suddenly appears overhead roaring. The terrified enemy army panics and runs for their lives.

VII Gloriam_Deo - Glory to God
God uses the events in the village to bring the people to repentance and return to worship. All Glory to God! Amen!

I am working on a video for this. I'm learing computer animation so it may take a while...

A little background on what I believe about dragons.
I am a Young Earth Creationist (YEC). I've read up on some material and I believe that scientific data supports that view so it's not just dogma or checking my brain at the door when I go to church and study Genesis. YEC teaches that the universe and earth are around 6000 years old and the accounts in the biblical book of Genesis are a true literal account of how the universe came to exist. Adam and Eve were real people who were created by God. They had children and the human race began. They sinned and the fall happened which cursed all of creation. The flood in Noah's time was a literal global flood that killed eveyone as part of God's judgement. I believe that people and dinosaurs (aka dragons) co-existed for a very long time. Even post flood there were some dragons that survived. Perhaps they were on the ark? I believe dragons may have persisted until the Renisance period. There were many different sizes and shapes of dragons that existed. Some could fly, possibly just the smaller ones, but who knows? There's an example of these critters in Isaiah 30:6. Also the great historians and explorers Josephus and Marco Polo both told accounts of small flying reptiles. There are stories in EVERY culture about some kind of dragon. There is too much to ignore. The majority of stories we have today about dragons are fables and romanticised versions of what was a dificult reality for past generations. Many people in many cultures today live with preditors that will eat them or their children if they're not careful. Living with dragons was the same thing. Precautions had to be taken. I believe that it is possible that some dragons still live today in remote parts of the earth.

I heard The Lord, tell me in a, dream as I slept
That to this beast, He brought me so, I can be kept
The Lord has a plan, for me and my, remaining life
for now I must wait, patiently deal , with this great strife
Each day with this beast, within easy reach, I live in great fear.
I know I can rest, each day of this test, the Lord He is ne-ar.
	A
The Lord has a plan, set for me and my life
	G
I will wait on Him now, daily deal with this strife

[Chorus]
	Bm D Em G
Open my eyes Lord, show me the truth I've looked to your guidance, since the time of my youth
	Bm D Em G
I see Before me, a terrible creature whose sharing it's a cave with an exiled preacher
	A F#m G
The symbol of evil, I've always been told, the picture of Satan and demons of old
